It dawned on my yesterday that there are only 5 WEEKS left until this year’s Nashville Ride for Refuge on October 3!
This annual, family-friendly ride/walk event is hosted by End Slavery Tennessee and is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. The money raised by our participants and volunteers supports the mission of End Slavery Tennessee to promote healing of human trafficking survivors and strategically confront slavery in our state. You can learn more about ESTN and our work here.
I’ve ridden every year (and Ella Jane rode with me last year, as pictured above), but this time my whole family is going to walk together! Isn’t that cute? Don’t you want to donate a bunch of money to support us — and ultimately the local human trafficking survivors we serve?
And/or, you can join our Spring Hill team to ride or walk OR create your own team.
But wait, there’s more!
We’ll also have an auction at the event, with theme baskets and other items. All the money raised in the auction benefits End Slavery Tennessee directly. The theme baskets are assembled by our local volunteer groups, and Spring Hill’s is called Local Luxuries. Want to help us build it? We’re looking for locally-made goodness of all kinds; candy, soaps, jewelry, clothes, candles, crafts, honey… pretty much anything! So far we’ve got coffee beans graciously donated by Crema. Please let me know if you decide to be awesome and find some more great stuff to get donated – or provide some goodies yourself! I’ll write you a thank-you note. Or haiku.
If you’ve got any questions about the Ride or the auction, I’ll be glad to answer them. And if you’ve got money, I’ll be glad to take it on behalf of my adorable family and the amazing people at ESTN 🙂
