Fight Obama’s Social Healthcare
Barack Obama is urging Congress to pass his socialist healthcare reform plan (I would conversely urge them to take their time; look what happened last time they rushed a bill without reading it through). While we definitely need some sort of reform, I do not believe a government-run social healthcare model is right for America. I charge any American who thinks he or she wants government healthcare to visit a V.A. hospital and see for themselves what they could look forward to.
As South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint stated, “Americans aren’t being fooled and are discovering the truth about his plan which includes rationed care, trillions in new costs, high taxes and penalties that will destroy jobs, and even government-funded abortions.”
Please be one of those Americans and find out what is being proposed for our future, then write your Senators and Representatives.
Remember, Remember the Fifth of November
Great day for a revolution. What will it be? We now have elected the first black President of the United States. That President-Elect promises change. There is buzz about anti-socialist secession or revolt. We’re changing from an 8-year Republican administration to a Democratic rule…..and so on.
Some of those things are great, some might be good, others bad. The fact is, I’d like to tell my fellow Americans to chill out. The election is over, and what’s done is done. If Obama is really ushering in the end of the world, awesome; in such a case things will get worse, but it means we’re only a few years away from everlasting perfect government.
I want to apologize to those who I may have annoyed lately. I do not run my mouth (or keyboard) for the heck of it. I believe it was my patriotic duty as a citizen of the U.S. to encourage other voters to know the facts for themselves and to vote responsibly and morally. That’s over now. It was my duty as a citizen of the Kingdom of God to encourage other Christians to stand for what’s important to Him. Those who live in this nation are given the opportunity to do so with their votes, so I tried to remind them of such. Now it’s our civic and Christian duty to respect the result of the election; the people have spoken. To speak against the free election itself is unpatriotic. We have to respect the office of President, whether or not you like the man or his politics. However, it is also both our civic and Christian duty to hold our government morally and politically accountable for their actions.
The people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities … If the next centennial does not find us a great nation … it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.
-Former President James Garfield
This is why you will see me still making comments about this next administration. However, you will not see me bashing any voter based on his or her decision. You made that decision and are responsible to God and our future generations (though many of them have been and will be murdered before they inherit their unalienable right to life) for it, not to me. But I will be a voice for what’s right morally and for what I believe in politically. We still have that right in America…so far.
I believe history repeats itself, so it does concern me on behalf of America that there are many similarities between Obama’s campaign and Adolf Hitler’s. Many things he’s said have sounded very socialist. People see him as a messiah. He wants a strong federally-funded & regulated civilian police force, which sounds a lot like the Gestapo. He’s OK with the mass murder of over 47 million innocents. I could go on.
I do politically disagree with socialism, but I am not going to blow this out of proportion like so many others. You have seen my comments with this “USSA” theme, but let me clarify; I am being sarcastic. I’m lampooning the alarmists, along with the very idea of American socialism. I will stand very strongly against such a regime if it comes to be a reality. Politicians say things to win votes, folks. If you don’t know that by now, you are naïve. On the other hand Barack Obama may really mean to implement all the ideas he proposed, and I think he means well by them whether I agree with them or not. The fact is, he is only one man with some ideas. Not all those things will happen — and thank God for that! The President has limited power, which is how it should be.
So, if he implements socialism and it fails and/or corrupts, I will say, “I told you so”. At that point, I will probably agree with some of you about secession, and so would our forefathers.
I want to share a couple more things for now that I have been saying recently:
- The alarmists might be right and America might be screwed…but the Kingdom of God is forever.
- Our hope is in no man but Jesus Christ.
- If you don’t store up your treasures here on Earth, you won’t be as disappointed when they’re gone.
- Four years is SO short in the scope of eternity.
- God is sovereign, though His will and His plan are two different things.
- Maybe we should just shorten “Secret Service” to “SS”. Sarcasm there, did you catch it? Good.
- Pray for our leaders. Please read and live 1 Peter 2: 9-11
- If Obama is in fact wrong, God can change his heart.
- Church: if they won’t hear your voice, show them your love.
That is the kind of revolution I’m calling for, church; a radically renewed Kingdom focus. It is becoming evermore obvious that this world ‘has nothing for us’, so don’t get too attached to it or bent out of shape about it. We are in it for the purpose of sharing Truth and love, but not of it. Do what’s right and there will be no blood on your hands, but neglect to do so and there will be. If you don’t like how the government is treating the poor, take care of them yourself. We’re called to be lights in the darkness; the world is obviously looking for a savior, and we should show Him off.
